One of the nicest campsites we stayed at! Amazing services for moterhomes and everything was very clean and well kept! The owners/wardens were lovely and welcoming. We only stayed for one night but we will definitely be back for longer in the future! Also the toilet/shower rooms were really clean and the showers are great! 10/10

We received a very friendly welcome at the campsite. We were given some tips for excursions and a short tour of the beautiful campsite. The sanitary facilities are very clean (like the rest of the campsite), there are plenty of toilets and showers. What we found particularly great: the campsite is very informal & clearly laid out. It is very quiet and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We will definitely be back. Thank you ♥️

We had a gorgeous 4 nights stay in our caravan here over New Year. We have a twin axle caravan and were put right near the entrance which was perfect for us. Lovely and peaceful (well until we arrived with our three children), absolutely perfect location for exploring Northumberland. The owners clearly work very hard to keep a high standard - toilet and shower block was lovely (we usually stay in C&C club sites so our expectation was high). Loved the morning breakfast and coffee offering, the cafe area also has small stocked shop to buy essentials. Hexham is a fabulous town about 15 minutes drive away. We also went to Vindolanda and of course walked along the wall. We will hopefully return in the summer so we can do a bit more walking in fairer weather.

We’ve just come back from the most relaxing weekend ever at Hadrian’s Wall Campsite. We hired the shepherds hut for the weekend, which we found to be incredibly cosy and had all of our needs catered for. The hob and oven were a huge plus and meant we could easily cook meals both nights. As we had the dog with us, we needed to bring our own bedding (which wasn’t a problem at all, although tip for other guests with a dog, is that you only need the fitted sheet and duvet cover and pillowcases). The weather was significantly colder than recent weeks and the electric heater kept us more than toasty! The site is in such a fantastic location for exploring the Wall. We spent hours stargazing and although we didn’t see the northern lights, we were in completely awe of the night sky view we had. We’ll definitely be recommending to friends and family and will most certainly be back in the near future!

We were booked to stay with our campervan for the weekend when we found ourselves with some van trouble. Steve and Tracy were very kind to let us upgrade to one of their Shepherds huts at late notice so we could still make our trip away. The hut had everything we needed, and we were super cosy even when it dropped to -2 outside. Dog friendly and firepits allowed (also provided at the Shepherds huts). Amazing little spot for winter camping and stargazing! Weather was great, and we had a beautiful walk along Hadrian's wall, up to Steel Rig and then to Twice Brewed for a spot of lunch and some takeaway craft beers. What a friendly campsite and local area. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. A massive thank you to Steve and Tracy.

Just spent 3 nights in a shepherds hut for the weekend, normally camp here in the summer and we absolutely love this place perfect if you’re after some peace and quiet. Site and facilities are kept clean and tidy. Tracy and Steve who own and run the site are hardworking and lovely people and always available if you require anything. Already booked again for next year.

Spent 2 nights here in our motorhome in November 2023. Arrived in the dark so couldn't see any of the site - contacted the number on the reception and within minutes Tracey was out to help navigate me to my pitch which was just beside the duck pond. In the morning - the view was amazing. It's literally in the middle of nowhere, but within walking distance of Haltwhistle which is a lovely little town. Stopped at the Milecastle pub for several drinks on the walk back - another recommended establishment. Toilet and shower block were immaculately clean - and even had music piped into it which was great to hear 👍🏻 Would absolutely go back to this camp site. Really enjoyed our stay.

Easily the best campsite we have ever stayed at. There was such an air of calmness and tranquility, the people respected each other and we had a fantastic night sleep. The campsite was also a short walk from Hadrian's wall and in fact Steel Rigg being the most famous section of the wall with a famous tree in the middle of the dip is just a short walk away . The campsite also has two local pubs , we popped to the Twice Brewed Inn which was fantastic. Highly recommended. The beer was good and the service was great. Stephen, Tracy are the couple who own and run the campsite. They were really accommodating, each morning they offer a selection of breakfast baps and buns with bacon and sausage, tea and coffee which is really welcome. We hired the bell tent and we also managed to hire the cooking trolley which was a real bonus, that came with gas canisters, pans, plates and cutlery. Well worth it all in all, a fantastic weekend and we will definitely be back!
